A late John McGreal headed goal gave Town the points after it had appeared that a second half Gus Poyet goal had won the visitors a point. Marcus Bent had put Town ahead in the first half of an entertaining and open game. |

Town have been linked with Norwegian striker Thorstein Helstad from Brann Bergen. Apparently Town scouts watched the striker play against Stromsgodset on Wednesday (the same night as they are also reported to have watched Magne Hoseth play elsewhere in Norway) and if they were there they couldn't have failed to be impressed. |

John McGreal has received some good news, learning that he won't miss out on the Worthington Cup final should Town make it. It was thought that his period of suspension would be three games and that it would cover the Cardiff game, but it has been confirmed that it won't and lasts for only two matches. |
